Hello and welcome to!

I'm Captain Gary Sanders and I'm a licensed and insured Wisconsin fishing guide offering both 1/2 day and full day walleye fishing trips on Lake Wisconsin and the Wisconsin River, and salmon fishing trips on Lake Michigan.

Whether you're an accomplished fisherman interested in learning new water or techniques, or are just here on vacation and want to spend more time catching fish than searching for biters, I can help.

Fishing season is open year round on Lake Wisconsin and the Wisconsin River, so you don't have to wait for the inland lakes season opener on the first Saturday in May to target walleyes. Walleye fishing is more popular than ever and hiring a fishing guide is an excellent way to quickly learn what is working and where, and can allow you to maximize your time on Lake Wisconsin and the Wisconsin River. The walleye fishing just keeps getting better here thanks to the slot limit that's in place as well as plenty of conservation minded fishermen.

Lake Wisconsin, formed by the hydro-electric dam on the Wisconsin River at Prairie du Sac is an incredibly diverse fishery with ample forage and definite trophy potential for all game fish species present. The fishing on Lake Wisconsin and the Wisconsin River is as good as ever and continues to produce good numbers of walleye, sauger, crappie, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, catfish and even lake sturgeon! While fishing on Lake Wisconsin and the Wisconsin River, it is typical to catch multiple species on every outing.

2011 was one of the best years yet for both numbers of walleyes as well as some pretty big walleyes too! 2012 made us work pretty hard to figure out patterns due to the high temps and drought, but check out the photos page and you'll see we did pretty good. 2013, regardless of the late spring and unprecedented high water flow coming from upstream, was an awesome year for numbers of legal fish. As it typically does, the bite took off in May and lasted well into July. In 2014, we had another "late spring" with cool temperatures & plenty of snow melt, but the bite was fantastic with plenty of legal sized (15"-19-7/8") walleyes and saugers, and numerous slot fish (20"-28") boated! In 2015, our numbers for "legal fish", those from 15"-19-7/8" dropped a bit, but we still caught a decent number of "slot fish" from 20"to 28". We are looking forward to yet another great walleye bite for the summer of 2016

The "lake" is actually a reservoir or flowage as we call them in Wisconsin and is approximately 9,000 acres in size and roughly 10 miles long. Motor trolling is permitted and is often utilized to make the most of the conditions and the current bite that's happening on this stained water system. There are many navigation hazards present on Lake Wisconsin and the Wisconsin River and a fishing guide can help you learn the ropes to finding your way around safely and turn you on to some good walleye fishing too.
